Vinny Stodder is a Brooklyn based composer, lyricist, librettist, and orchestrator/arranger. He is a creator of new original musicals. In each show he dives into new territory of musical style and universal themes. He strives to create stories that will shine on a Broadway stage, with rich characters and subject exploration, and that can also be performed anywhere and on any budget.
He showcased his musical, Marathon, co-written with Hunter Bird at Musical Theatre Factory in New York City, and featured an array of his songs in the NYMF Concert “Part of It All”. He has also done various workshops of his musicals The Berkeley Dissolve (NYU and Shetler Studios), Ghostwriter (UCLA) and featured his work at Berklee College of Music.
As a copyist and music assistant, he worked alongside Scott Frankel on the out-of-town Broadway tryout of War Paint starring Patti LuPone and Christine Ebersole at The Goodman Theatre in Chicago.
He has arranged music for Singer-Songwriter Angela Sclafani, the band Justice Cow, and the Cabaret series “Undiscovered Countries.”
He has also done film scoring for Ari Grabb (Rick and Morty and Solar Opposites) and Heyjin Jun.
